HALF DAY
7:30am pick up at your hotel, we will head out of Ho Chi Minh City towards Tan Phu Trung village and ride bikes through villages where the scars of war are still evident. We will ride along paved roads and dirt paths past bomb craters that bear witness to years of struggle during the years of conflict.
Next, we will bring you through rubber plantations to observe the local harvesters as they gather latex from the trees. You will get to participate in a rice paper-making workshop before arriving at the Cu Chi tunnels for a 15-minute documentary about their creation. Learn about the history of conflict between the Cu Chi people and their rivals.
Continue on toward the tunnel site where simple weapons for fighting are displayed. Then, head down real tunnels dug by the Viet Cong and experience just how brave the Vietnamese were during the war.
Afterwards, enjoy authentic Viet Cong food in a historical kitchen. Hop back on the bus for your transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City and arrive at your hotel around 3:00pm.
